Forever in a Minute

By: Dominic Dyes

Genre: Romance

There's a dream I wish once I could exhibit,
A dream of hope that drowns out thoughts that so inhibit,
To ride the stars, forget the cars, the sky's the limit.
Oh, to know what it's like to hold you forever in a minute.

To hold you close through many trials,
To contemplate your beauty for just a while,
To get lost into your smile, a road I could travel on for miles and miles.
Just like tiles, perfectly organized into beautiful files like works of spirit,
Silence, as I pull you in close to the nightly sounds of the chirping crickets.

A wondrous place of fantasy, a world I've only visited,
A world known as my heart,
A place where I can hold you forever in a minute.

To make you happy is like a morning sun of which my heart revolves,
A mystery of sorts, one I myself even find difficult to solve.
How, over many stars and under many bridges,
My heart yearns to know what it's like
To hold you forever in a minute.

You're way out of my league. Your beauty, untouched, is a attribute with no need to fix it.
I hope to grow, to break from these chains of bondage, of restriction that no more prohibits.
My thoughts about you are thoughts that I grew through a battle of my internal senses.

Oh, how I wonder what it would be like to be together forever in a minute?
